CDC Software’s Franchise Partner Also Secures First CDC Factory Customer in Mexico

Separately, CDC Software Mexico also secured the first CDC Factory customer in Mexico.  Sabormex, S.A. de C.V., a leading food processor of coffee and kidney beans in Mexico, selected CDC Factory for use at its production plant in Puebla.

CDC Software Mexico exhibited Ross Enterprise and CDC Factory solutions at the “World Dairy Summit & Expo, Mexico 2008” held on November 11 – 14 in Mexico City, the first time this leading global show was held outside of Europe.  CDC Software Mexico also presented Ross Enterprise and CDC Factory success stories in the dairy sector to educate food manufacturers how these specialized solutions can help them address their current industry challenges. At this event, companies from Mexico and 50 other countries exhibited technology, equipment, machinery, raw materials, products and services related to milk production and processing of dairy products, as well as other solutions and useful innovations that contribute to the dynamics of the sector.

In the opening session of the show, Mexico President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa gave a speech on the priority of technological advances within the industry in the Valparaiso Hall of the Centro Banamex.  The President remarked that Mexican companies should be confident about their potential and not afraid of competition and also discussed the structural obstacles facing the dairy industry in his country.  Mexico is considered both a major milk producer and top importer.

Commenting on launching CDC Factory in Mexico, Claudia Braun, manufacturing unit manager of CDC Software Mexico said, "CDC Factory helps manufacturers identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase production capacity that ultimately helps them cope with the challenges in the current global economic downturn."

The CDC Software Franchise Partner Program funds CDC Software's investments, through majority control or minority stakes, in strategic partners located in high growth geographies that include Latin America, India, China, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
