Babson Executive Education Reports Streamlined Operations and Advances in Marketing Effectiveness and Resource Planning using CDC Software’s Pivotal CRM

Executive Education School Reports Centralized and Streamlined Customer and Prospect Data Using Pivotal CRM Suite of Applications

Hong Kong, Atlanta, May 30, 2008 — CDC Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation and a provider of industry-specific enterprise software applications and business services, announced today that its customer, Babson Executive Education, has centralized and streamlined its customer and prospect data into a single system, creating a common and consistent view, using the Pivotal CRM suite of applications.

Babson Executive Education, a division of Babson College, is one of the leading providers  of custom educational solutions to companies world-wide.  A significant part of Babson Executive Education’s revenue is derived from corporate clients seeking custom educational solutions for their senior management.

Because of data fragmentation and redundancy caused by information received from participants in several disparate databases, and with enrollment steadily increasing, Babson needed a reliable customer, prospect and enrollment solution that could provide a central database to build strong relationships with clients and gain insight into enrollment data. After researching several vendors, including a CRM system tailored specifically for the education market, Babson chose Pivotal CRM.

Implementation of Pivotal CRM was completed faster than expected, and Babson reports that it quickly began achieving measurable results, which included an increase in operational efficiency, a clear view of prospect and sales data which helped improve the planning of its educational calendar, and increased marketing effectiveness, allowing for more targeted activity.

Babson believes that these benefits allowed its management to have a clearer picture of which course topics have the most interest, resulting in enhanced communication with customers and prospects, improved service to participants, and more targeted program design.  In addition, Babson also noted that it improved its reporting capabilities and achieved cost savings using Pivotal CRM.

“We believe the operational efficiencies, cost savings and overall growth realized with the implementation of Pivotal CRM gives us an advantage over other institutions offering executive education programs,” said Michael Budd, IT technology specialist, Babson Executive Education.

Babson has also customized Pivotal CRM for its Center for Women’s Leadership. “Because of Pivotal CRM’S flexibility and customization, we’ve implemented the solution in multiple departments on campus,” said Budd.

“We are very pleased that this leading executive education college is achieving positive results with Pivotal CRM,” said Bruce Cameron, senior vice president, Global Sales, CDC Software.   “We believe that Pivotal CRM’s deep vertical functionality allows organizations such as Babson to increase revenue and customer loyalty while improving operational efficiencies.  Ultimately, the solution lets Babson focus on what they do best – delivering superior educational programs for corporations.”
