Partners target companies in the mid-sized enterprise market
— Pivotal Corporation (Nasdaq: PVTL; TSE: PVT), and Telefónica Data Argentina S.A., a subsidiary of Telefónica Data, today announced the signing of a business development agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Telefónica Data is the preferred application service provider (ASP) for Pivotal’s sensible customer relationship management (CRM) software in Latin America. Together, the companies are targeting the mid-sized enterprise market with a cost-effective, flexible hosted solution that offers a complete software suite of applications, including CRM, partner relationship management (PRM) and interactive selling.
“Hosted solutions are a sensible choice for Latin American companies that want to engage in CRM, but don’t want to incur the costs of managing the technical infrastructure internally,” said Bo Manning, president and CEO, Pivotal. “Pivotal has teamed up with Telefónica Data in Argentina to deliver a smart, more cost-effective way for these mid-sized enterprise companies to purchase CRM software. Pivotal has selected Telefónica Data as its premier ASP partner because of the company’s solid business model and proven history of customer success in Latin America and throughout the world.”
As Pivotal’s preferred ASP provider, Telefónica Data is training a team of more than eighty sales and service professionals on Pivotals’ CRM software. Telefónica Data is responsible for marketing, selling, hosting and managing the system, to joint Pivotal customers. To achieve aggressive joint revenue goals, Telefónica Data is launching targeted marketing campaigns, product catalogues and customer events to quickly identify sales opportunities in its current customer base.
Pivotal’s long-term alliance partner, CMT will be a critical participant in this newly formed partnership. CMT has been a premier Pivotal reseller in Latin America for more than three years and will be providing on the ground marketing, sales, service and development resources to support the Pivotal-Telefónica Data alliance.
Pivotal, Telefónica and CMT will work together to form a shared understanding of the challenges and businesses requirements of Latin American companies. Using this knowledge, the companies will develop specialized industry solutions to help businesses maximize customer performance and profitability. The first joint solutions will include shipping, insurance, manufacturing and health care.
According to Alejandro Adamowicz, director of hosting solutions business unit, Telefónica Data Argentina, “Our hosted CRM offering dramatically reduces the time and resources a company must typically dedicate to application administration. As a result, companies can focus on what is critical to their business -- improving productivity, enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing revenues. Telefónica Data and Pivotal have teamed up to meet the needs of the rapidly growing market in Latin America for hosted CRM systems.”
Pivotal Corporation offers clear, complete and sensible Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software that delivers results for a fraction of the cost of typical CRM software. Pivotal’s customers are companies and business units in the revenue range of $100 million to $3 billion. Pivotal and its partners provide the software, services, and support required to produce significant improvements in marketing, sales, and service effectiveness for mid-enterprise companies.
