World-leading semiconductor process control company chooses the sensible approach to CRM

Committing to Customer Satisfaction
KLA-Tencor selected Pivotal for a multi-phased implementation that will allow the company to effectively manage customer commitments. ‘Customer commitments’ -- the relationships and promises between KLA-Tencor and its customers -- are business-critical for KLA-Tencor. To fulfill on these commitments, its sales teams must have the tools and information to work collaboratively with other divisions, including manufacturing, to ensure KLA-Tencor is meeting its commitments. As a best practice, KLA-Tencor will leverage Pivotal’s CRM system to analyze and validate their ‘customer commitment’ methodology and gain adoption for the technology.
In the first phase of the implementation, Pivotal’s CRM software will be deployed to a select group of field business units. The software will be extended across the enterprise as each phase achieves results. Using Pivotal, sales teams will be able to capture and track all customer commitments; follow workflow processes designed to improve the execution and completion of commitment activities; automatically notify and alert account teams, divisions and executives to important changes; and produce detailed reports. As a result, KLA-Tencor can better meet its customer expectations.
In addition to commitment management, KLA-Tencor envisions Pivotal’s CRM platform as part of a long-term strategy to automate its sales lifecycle process and create a platform for launching its ‘customer-centric’ eBusiness strategy.
