Pivotal receives top honors from start magazine for excellence in delivering Microsoft-based solutions for the manufacturing industry
— Pivotal Corporation (Nasdaq: PVTL) today announced that the company was recently named one of the "Hottest Companies of 2000" by start magazine, the only magazine dedicated to educating manufacturing and engineering executives about the business of technology. The 24 winners of this year's award are featured in the July issue of the magazine.
According to Peggy Smedley, editorial director, start, "This year's entries were all very impressive and the selection process was a difficult one. The twenty-four companies honored this year have shown that they are rapidly raising the technological bar while, at the same time, creating a stable and deliverable mix of products to the manufacturing community."
This year, the start editorial staff reviewed nearly 200 entries and chose to recognize 24 companies that clearly demonstrated outstanding achievements in delivering technology solutions to the manufacturing industry. Judging criteria included each company's focus on continuous improvement and overall product excellence. Special attention was also given to a company's breadth of software/hardware design, continuous family of products and portfolio of solutions, ease of connectivity, quick adaptability, and financial health.
According to Norm Francis, president and CEO of Pivotal, "We are pleased to be included in the elite group of technology companies that have made significant impact in the digital revolution of the manufacturing industry. Our eBusiness solutions-Pivotal ePower 2000, Pivotal eRelationship 2000 and Pivotal eSelling 2000 which have already set new industry standards for scalability, reliability and cost-effectiveness-will enable manufacturing companies to fully realize their business potentials by transforming them into clicks-and-mortars powerhouses."
Other recent achievements for Pivotal include two prestigious Microsoft Industry Solutions Awards for technology excellence and the "Gold Best-in-Class" award at the First Annual Users Choice Awards. Recently, the company was named an "eBusiness Winner" by Upside Magazine while its flagship product, Pivotal eRelationship 2000, was named one of the "Top 15 Software for 2000" by ISM.
