— 24/7 Media Asia Limited, a China.com Corporation company [NASDAQ: CHINA], today announced the appointment of Ms Yen Ong as General Manager, Singapore. 24/7 Media Asia delivers Internet advertising and interactive marketing solutions and services for both advertisers and web publishers across Asia.
Ms Ong has more than 10 years' experience in advertising; working with major print, cable and satellite television companies in Asia, including MTV Networks Asia and Singapore Cablevision (SCV), Singapore's only cable television station.
She has a strong entrepreneurial spirit; having been actively involved in the start-up and expansion of several major media operations. At SCV, Ms Ong was instrumental in launching key initiatives to address the impact and implications on the fragmented media market. As Director of Sales for MTV Southeast Asia, Ms Ong was responsible for managing several key regional accounts and building the channel's presence beyond the youth market. She also kick-started MTV's advertising sales operations across Southeast Asia and was responsible for launching a number of major sales and marketing programs to increase the network's market presence. She was also instrumental in strengthening the affiliate relationships in the key markets of Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand & Singapore.
She replaces Mr David Low who recently left to pursue other business interests.
