IAF Mobile

Handheld and other mobile devices enable great flexibility in the deployment and use of enterprise software applications. IAF Mobile is the interface for extending Ross applications beyond the boundaries of the desktop workstations and laptop computers in the enterprise.

The IAF Mobile client is a mobile smart client that can execute on devices that run the Pocket PC 2003 or CE 5.0 operating systems. IAF Mobile utilizes the Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 2.0 to provide all functionality that is used on the given devices.

The mobile client leverages the same broker/server architecture used by the iBrowser zero-footprint client. However, IAF Mobile is a true "smart client" that resides on the mobile devices itself. It communicates directly with the web services and does not use HTML to render at the client. It renders the UIDL/URL that comes from/to the web service.
