Job Description
The CDC eCommerce Product Manager role involves understanding market requirements for eCommerce products and working with the software development organization to bring new solutions to the market. Specific responsibilities include gathering product requirements and drafting functional specifications, managing product rollout project plans, communicating with and updating all the stakeholders, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities
You will participate fully in all aspects of the product development lifecycle:
•    Collaborate across development, product management, marketing, sales and professional services, and interacts with partners, customers, prospects, press and analysts
•    Obtain requirements using a variety of resources including but not limited to: interviews with internal and external clients, market and competitive analysis, contractual commitments to identify opportunities for new product and service offerings
•    Perform needs analysis and draft business cases to validate feature prioritization and scope
•    Guide product introductions and updates
•    Draft functional specifications for use by developers.
•    Manage change throughout the SDLC to ensure client needs are being fulfilled as the application undergoes definition and development
•    Respond to RFP, RFI and SLA requests from the Sales team
•    Provide executives with business plan reviews, executive summaries; influence and educate.
•    Work with the marketing department to develop supporting materials for product launches including collaterals, press releases, and sales presentation materials to provide product value proposition, technical capabilities and key benefits
•    Work with the Technical Writers and Trainers to ensure smooth delivery of content and material to the customer base
•    Market evangelist with customers and prospects

Qualifications
•    3-5 years of software product management or business analysis experience
•    Experience defining and documenting requirements for e-commerce software applications, with particular focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery models
•    Experience with retail POS, online marketing, e-commerce and content management applications would be a definite asset
•    Strong knowledge and experience in requirements definition activities of the SDLC
•    Experience in business process modeling and data modeling
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Must have strong business acumen with an ability to translate client business needs into a software feature set
•    Detail oriented
•    Willingness and ability to speak to audiences at trade shows, industry events and customer events
•    Work well in a collaborative team environment and be able to communicate efficiently with other team members.
•    BA/BS degree or appropriate comparable experience
