CDC Software Opens Technical Support Center in Japan

Expands On-the-Ground Customer Support and Quality Assurance


Hong Kong, June 8, 2005 — CDC Software a wholly-owned subsidiary and software unit of CDC Corporation (NASDAQ: CHINA) today announced the opening of the CDC Software Technical Support Center in Japan. Located in Tokyo, this new facility is expected to meet the demand of CDC Software's expanding customer base in Japan, and to deliver business solutions highly customized to the needs of the local market.

The CDC Software Technical Support Center in Japan will focus on providing integrated support to end-users and resellers, initially for the two CDC Software business solutions available in the Japanese market today namely, Pivotal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and iRenaissance Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) solutions. Subsequently, the center will support additional products which the company intends to launch locally.

In addition to CRM and ERP solutions, CDC Software's enterprise solutions offering in Asia Pacific include ExecutiveSuite Business and Financial Performance Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI), and Platinum Human Resources and Payroll (HRP).

Using an integrated product support system that gives its customers a single point of contact from any location within Japan, the Center will allow a faster response time for customers deploying mission-critical enterprise solutions. Should customers encounter problems with installed solutions, CDC Software can simulate the exact same client environment in the Center and troubleshoot more efficiently, greatly reducing turnaround time. The Center will also conduct quality assurance of new products currently undertaken at development centers in other countries.

The Japan Center will also play a significant role in CDC Software's global R&D effort in ensuring that customer requirements in Japan - one of the largest IT markets in the world -will now factor in CDC Software's global product development.
