Catalyst Lowers Total Cost Of Ownership In Sargento Food's Supply Chain

Sargento increases visibility into inventory and improves customer service


Milwaukee, WI, September 22, 2003 — Catalyst International, Inc. (OTC: CLYS.OB), a global provider of supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, today announced they worked with Sargento Foods, a leading national cheese marketer, to implement SAPConsole wireless data collection transactions at its Plymouth, WI packaging and distribution facility. The new system will improve accuracy, provide visibility into inventory and streamline communication between order management, production and distribution.

Sargento packages cheese at three Wisconsin production facilities and about 90% of the product is shipped from the Plymouth location. Catalyst incorporated SAPTM WM and SAPConsole into the Sargento SAP release 4.6c, to provide better inventory management, expand RF capabilities and increase connectivity between the warehouse and key production areas. The new system enables the company to utilize all of their raw materials in the most efficient manner.
