Strategic Partnership to Lay Ground for Wireless e-Commerce


Hong Kong, January 10, 2000 — chinadotcom corporation (NASDAQ: CHINA), a pan-Asian integrated Internet company providing a full range of solutions that "Build, Distribute, and Sell" Internet services, was chosen by New World Mobility (NWM), a leading mobile operator in Hong Kong, to distribute web content and e-commerce solutions over NWM's mobile Internet service, "WWM" (World Wide Mobility).

Developed by NWM, New World Telephone Group's mobile service arm, "WWM" enables customers to easily access global information by using their WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) handsets, anywhere, anytime.

chinadotcom corporation will provide content in Chinese and English for all NWM customers within the first quarter of 2000. In the first stage, content will include local news, weather, traffic, and horse racing. In addition, NWM customers will enjoy a wide array of lifestyle information from chinadotcom corporation's Hong Kong portal, hongkong.com, such as guides to restaurants, movies, nightlife and dining. Later this year, chinadotcom corporation will also provide to NWM customers e-mail access, on-line shopping, ticketing and chatting through hongkong.com's Shop4U and freemail services.

In a separate announcement today, chinadotcom corporation said that it will also be distributing content via New World CyberBase PowerPhoneTM, which are installed in numerous locations, including Hong Kong's international airport and rail and subway stations.
