Jon Winslow, Tokyo managing director from Modem Media, and Wilson Sham, e-commerce leader from General Electric Information Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers, to bring valuable Internet and e-commerce expertise


Hong Kong, December 16, 1999 — chinadotcom corporation [Nasdaq: China], a leading pan-Asian Internet company, has appointed Jon Winslow as Regional Operations Director and Wilson Sham as Supply Chain Management Practice Director at the company's web solutions subsidiary, the Web Connection.

Mr. Winslow joins chinadotcom corporation, departing from his position as managing director of Modem Media in Tokyo, to be responsible for deploying a consistent operating model across the Web Connection's regional offices and ensuring the scalability of the firm's operations and processes. The other strategic hire, Wilson Sham, brings valuable experience to the company from his positions leading the e-commerce divisions of General Electric Information Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants. Mr. Sham will be helping clients develop winning e-commerce business strategies that leverage Internet technologies for their supply chain management processes.

Mr. Winslow has more than four years of operational and managerial experience in the Internet professional services arena. He has lived and worked in Asia for more than eight years. Prior to his previous position as managing director of Modem Media's Tokyo office in 1999, he also headed its Hong Kong office in 1998, as well as worked in Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Mr. Winslow has combined his knowledge and expertise to establish operational, work process methodologies and local market knowledge on Hong Kong and Japan to develop successful client relationships with some of the region's largest corporations, including Citibank, IBM, Swire Pacific and General Electric.

Mr. Sham brings to the Web Connection more than 18 years' experience in the IT industry, including four years of solid e-commerce experience. At his previous positions at General Electric Information Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants, he successfully assisted several of Asia's international enterprises, dominant services providers and government bodies to formulate and implement strategic community-wide e-commerce projects for their supply chain management processes.
