Andrew Miller to join China.com Corporation from Sina.com to further strengthen US operation
— China.com Corporation, Greater China's first NASDAQ-listed Internet company, today announced the appointment of Mr. Andrew Miller as Vice President, Sales & Marketing for North America.
Mr. Miller joins China.com Corporation from Sina.com where he was Vice President for worldwide sales, Mr. Miller joins another former Sina.com colleague, Edward Hsu, China.com Corporation's new Chief Technology Officer.
Mr. Miller's appointment also follows the announcement of Mr. Ian Henry's role as President, International. Mr. Henry is responsible for spearheading business and strategy development of China.com Corporation the US and Europe.
Mr. Hsu and now Mr. Miller will form the nucleus of the team that will develop China.com Corporation's business in the US, enabling American business to capitalize on e-commerce opportunities in Asia.
Mr. Miller has an extensive career in the media and technology industries and has worked for many years in the USA and across Asia.
From 1995 to early 1999 Mr. Miller was Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region for First Call Corporation, the real-time financial information division of Thomson Financial Services. In this capacity he was responsible for growing sales revenue by more than 300%, launching a regional Web-based business strategy across 12 major markets, and achieving the leading market share among the region's financial markets.
Previously, Mr. Miller was the East Asia business development manager for Reuters and was responsible for developing and launching the company's direct investment program focused on China's emerging financial markets.
