China.com Corporation announces expansion of asian Web Solutions Business

The Web Connection completes acquisition of web solutions companies in Korea and Singapore

Hong Kong, October 19, 1999 — China.com Corporation's [NASDAQ:CHINA] web solutions business, The Web Connection, today announced the acquisition of two related businesses in Asia: Netville Company Ltd. in Korea and Pandora Interactive Studio PTE Ltd. in Singapore. These additions brings to eight the number of Web Connection offices across Asia, with a presence now in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, China and Hong Kong.

"We are committed to reinforcing our position as Asia's leading e-business solutions provider by establishing a strong presence in each of the key Asian markets in which our clients operate. We want to be wherever our clients are. These acquisitions represent a significant step forward in solidifying a truly Pan-Asian presence," commented Steve McKay, President and COO of The Web Connection.

"Each of these companies has a strong presence in its respective local market. The Web Connection looks to use such acquisitions to complement its rare blend of core competencies - digital strategy, technology integration, creative services and integrated marketing. These are the key ingredients of a winning e-business solution," added Mr. McKay.

Ms Gladys Goh, Operations Manager of Pandora Interactive Studio said, "We see this as an extremely strategic alliance - while our success as an award-winning web solutions provider gives a further boost to The Web Connection's suite of core competencies, we can leverage China.com Corporation's strong regional presence and its integrated Internet business strategy to expand our capabilities in the Internet arena."

Added Mr. Gi-Heon Moon, President of Netville Company, "We're delighted by the acquisition and we look forward to working closely with The Web Connection to further develop our business. We'll also provide full support to China.com Corporation through our web solutions capabilities to strengthen their Pan-Asian presence."

These acquisitions also provide further evidence of the growth of China.com Corporation's Pan-Asian integrated portal strategy.

"We are establishing an exciting and rapidly expanding business across the length and breadth of Asia. The strengthening of The Web Connection in these markets complements China.com Corporation's other businesses: our portal business in Greater China - hongkong.com, taiwan.com and china.com - and advertising sales business - 24/7 Media Asia - across the region," commented Peter Hamilton, Chief Operating Officer of China.com Corporation. "We are truly delivering against our integrated, Pan-Asian 'Build / Distribute / Sell' business strategy".
