24/7 Media Asia Ltd Appoints Patrick Jonathan Wong as Deputy Managing Director

Experienced Manager of High Profile Media/Technology Start-ups Strengthens Team

Hong Kong, August 31, 1999 — 24/7 Media Asia Ltd., a China.com Corporation company (NASDAQ: CHINA), today announced the recent appointment of start-up veteran Patrick Jonathan Wong to the position of Deputy Managing Director, Asia Pacific.

Mr Wong takes responsibility for establishing the first pan-Asian internet advertising and interactive marketing network across the Asia Pacific region. Mr Wong will be based in the Hong Kong headquarters of 24/7 Media Asia Ltd.

Mr Wong's key roles will be to build 24/7 Media Asia's market presence by recruiting and managing new sales teams for the pan-Asian and US markets, to grow a high quality alliance of interactive advertising sites and advertisers throughout the region and to initiate a series of partnerships, mergers and acquisitions to expand the network rapidly across the region.

"Patrick has over ten years of start-up and operational experience with a wide range of global and regional media, broadcasting, telecoms and satellite ventures in the region," commented Peter Hamilton, Chief Operating Officer, China.com Corporation. "Patrick's tremendous experience with ambitious, high profile organisations provides 24/7 Media Asia with a firm, locally-rooted foundation on which to build our business in the region."

Previously Mr Wong was part of the team that launched Star TV in 1990, taking a number of senior management positions within the company and its subsequent parent, News Corporation, when News Corporation acquired the network in 1993. Star TV, the first pan-Asian satellite television network is now being received by over 260 million viewers across Asia.

In 1994 Mr Wong rejoined the founders of Star TV and worked on the launch of Corporate Access, Pacific Century Group's satellite telecoms venture - the first pan-Asian VSAT-based telecoms network. Mr Wong then transfered to Hutchison Whampoa to serve as Asia's Vice President for Sales & Marketing and Business Development when Corporate Access was acquired by Hutchison Telecoms in 1995. Mr Wong was a co-founder of East West Ventures, a venture capital firm involved in technology transfer between the US and Asia.

Prior to joining 24/7 Media Asia, Mr Wong was Asia's Regional Director for Loral Space & Communications' multi billion dollar satellite venture, Globalstar, a constellation of 48 satellites that provides wireless global mobile communications virtually anywhere in the world. Mr Wong's departure from Globalstar marks the latest example of an executive at an established company who is lured by the internet. He joined 24/7 Media Asia prior to its parent, China.com Corporation's NASDAQ listing in July of this year.
