Senior SAP EWM Consultant
Position Description:
The Senior SAP EWM Consultant will report to the SAP LES Consulting Director. He/she must have demonstrated a competency in SCM EWM and SAP WM. He/she would be responsible for a transaction, a group of transactions, or functional area and will work closely with the Project Manager and other Consultants to ensure that the deliverables are on-time, on-budget, and adhere to our Quality Standards.
The Senior SAP EWM Consultant is responsible for completing the tasks in accordance with the functional or technical design and CDC Global Services development and quality standards. The Senior SAP EWM Consultant is able to interpret the analysis and design process, so that he/she is able to understand the requirements, and design and deliver the required solution.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ability to understand the breadth and depth of the deliverable and how the solution fits into the larger picture.
• Ability to understand requirements and translate them into a solution
• Responsible for the timely competition of the assigned transactions with little or no assistance or oversight.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks and assist in the management of less experienced colleagues
• Ability to present the solution in a manner that can be understood.
• Able to allocate time; prioritize tasks, and accurately scope tasks and phases of a project.
• Responsible for the documentation of the solution. This includes technical (test plans, technical specifications, and test cases), Functional and User documentation
• Responsible for the Technical or Functional aspects of the Analysis and Design Process. This includes contributing to the Blueprint sessions and the creation of the SRDS.
• Ability to assist others in the creation of documentation
• Ability to act as a lead resource for others on the team
• Guides and troubleshoots during the implementation
• Able to assist and solve any kind of show stoppers that relate to the solution(s)
• Facilitates getting the involvement of any other group or individual needed to solve a problem
• Able to conduct presentations to all audiences on a variety of subjects
• Able to communicate with team members and clients in a clear, consistent, and professional manner.
• Suggests tools and processes needed to improve the way we operate.
• Reviews the team’s deliverables for adherence to standards and to ensure quality.
• Responsible for providing timely status reports
• Keeps abreast of events and trends in the industry
Requirements
• SAP implementation experience with release 4.6c through ECC 6.0.
• SCM EWM experience on at least one implementation.
• Experience on at least 4 full cycle implementations or WM or EWM.
• Experience in utilizing SAP RF Screen Wizard and BADi technology in EWM environment.
• Must have basic functional knowledge of WM, IM, MM, and EWM.
• Strong and proven Technical or Functional Skills.
• 2-5 years in functional project driven position.
• 2-5 years experience in services or delivery role.
• Ability to dissect Business problems into Solutions.
• Has demonstrated the ability to work with both internal and client’s people.
• Demonstrates both written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to be a functional leader.
• A self-starter.
• BS in Information Systems or related field.
• Strong computer skills – both Internet and desktop productivity tools.
• Must have experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment, with direct on site interface with client team leads and end users in order to understand the physical processes as well as the system processes for the solution.
• Supply Chain market knowledge. Must be familiar with Supply Chain Business models, SAP EWM and Wireless technologies.
