Location: Milwaukee, WI
Position Summary:
Manage the implementation process of the Catalyst products in compliance with the contract, on time, within budget and meeting customer requirements.
Primary Functions (including essential functions):
Professionalism
- Assure adherence to quality and a commitment to excellence in work processes and procedures.
- Create a team environment where employees work together within the department and outside of the department to achieve corporate goals.
- Stay current on technology and managerial techniques to ensure continued effectiveness.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the current Catalyst products.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Catalyst as configured and modified for each assigned customer.
Project Management
- Serve as primary contact for the customer for the life cycle of the project.
- Develop a rapport with the customer’s management team.
- Utilize the standard methodology to manage the project
- Work with the customer to map business requirements and business scenarios.
- Facilitate the identification of the client’s business requirements to ensure accurate product modifications.
- Working with PS management to manage assigned project resources to effect a timely implementation, operational efficiency, and financial gain.
- Write modification specifications for customer projects.
- Maintain familiarity with the Feature Point estimating process.
- Conduct and/or coordinate system testing of modifications.
- Assist customer in developing acceptance test plans.
- Coordinate and manage customer system acceptance testing.
- Assist customer in developing end-user-training materials.
- Participate in customer end-user training as necessary.
- Control project costs to keep the project within budget.
- Prepare presentations as needed for the customer.
- Keep all project documentation current and filed in the appropriate online project folders.
- Provide necessary support after go-live through transition to customer service
Contract Administration
- Become thoroughly familiar with contract terms for all assigned projects.
- Ensure contractual obligations associated with the project are attained.
Customer Service
- Assist Customer Service in staying current in project status.
- Follow all transition guidelines to ensure a thorough transition of the account to Customer Service
Administration
- Comply with all departmental reporting requirements.
- On a timely basis, communicate to Professional Services Director work progress, variances and problems.
- Prepare project update presentations as needed.
- Respond to email and voicemail in a timely manner.
Internal Responsibilities
- Contribute to the improvement of project and development process.
- Assist in modifying standard templates for departmental documents.
- Act as supportive team member.
- Collaborate as required with other internal departments.
- Prepare and conduct employee training in areas of expertise.
- Manage departmental expenses to stay within the approved operating budget.
- Communicate effectively to all departments.
- Conduct objective performance reviews in a timely, professional manner.
- Assist in the collection of delinquent accounts.
- Contribute to the sales and development efforts by providing estimates and technical commentary.
- Act as fill-in Director when requested.
Other Duties:
Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 3-5 years relevant Project Management experience leading enterprise wide software implementations - Required
- 2-3 years Software experience working with Warehouse Management Solutions as either an Architect, Developer or Business Analyst considered a plus
- Catalyst or equivalent WMS and/or supply chain execution experience considered a plus
- Certifications: PMI-PMP or equivalent considered a plus
